Description
Addressing the risks of asbestos exposure is essential to protect human health and the environment, as well as to ensure decent living and working conditions.
Asbestos is classified as a Group 1 carcinogen. Inhalation of asbestos fibres can cause chronic lung diseases like lung cancer, cancer of the lining of the lungs and lower digestive tract, and asbestosis. (Roadmap on Carcinogens: The Facts on Asbestos).
That is why the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of the Republic of Slovenia is organising a webinar on “Asbestos in the Work Environment”, with financial assistance from EU-OSHA. The webinar will take place on 20 October 2022, from 13:00-15:45 and is free to attend. The event will be held in Slovenian.
