Empowering tomorrow's workforce: OSH seminar for vocational education students
Event Details
Description
Students are the future of the workforce, so it is crucial to equip them with an early awareness of occupational safety and health (OSH) principles. In this spirit, the 1st Vocational School of Athens will host a seminar on workplace safety that will introduce their apprentices to fundamental OSH principles.
Organised by our focal point in Greece, the Hellenic Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, this activity will be tailored to the students’ fields of study, which encompass hairdressing, aesthetics and physiotherapy, as well as construction, electricity and IT. They will learn about the Greek OSH system and legislation specific to their sectors.
The event will feature a discussion on risk assessment, during which EU-OSHA’s Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools will be examined. Our beloved hero and learning tool Napo will also make an appearance with videos relevant to the courseload.
With an eye towards the future, EU-OSHA's Healthy Workplaces Campaign ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ will be presented, providing students with the opportunity to discover how digitalisation is rapidly reshaping the workplace and equipping them with sustainable OSH tools and resources.
