Description

A conference dedicated to the impact of digital technologies on the workplace is taking place in the town of Gniew, in Poland. It will focus on reviewing transformative aspects of artificial intelligence, universal connectivity, the Internet of Things, big data, wearable and mobile devices and online platforms in the world of work.

Organised by our national focal point Centralny Instytut Ochrony Pracy - Państwowy Instytut Badawczy, the event will explore how digital technologies are changing approaches to risk assessment. A highlight of the day will be the discussion of the ‘prevention by design’ ethical principle, which puts humans at the centre of digitalisation and actively involves workers in the design and implementation of strategies for promoting safety and health in the digital age, a key aspect of the new Healthy Workplaces Campaign.

Experts will detail how the human factor and worker-centred design can be integrated into digital processes. They will emphasize the importance of a collaborative approach between academia, industry and social partners in research and innovation related to digital technologies. The adoption of training programs to meet the changing demands of employees in the digital era will also be covered.
