Cost-Benefit in OSH seminar
What are the economic impacts of both good and poor OSH management? It is vital that policy-makers, researchers and intermediaries understand the answer to this question, but to do so requires good-quality data. EU-OSHA thus aims to address this need in its overview project ‘Costs and benefits of occupational safety and health’, which aims to develop an economic costing model to establish reliable estimates of the costs. At this meeting organised by the Hungarian EU-OSHA National Focal Point, Ministry for Innovation and Technology, first Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi from Corvinus University of Budapest Department of Health Economy will give an introduction “Aim, objectives, history and methodologies of cost-benefit evaluation”. Further Dr. Dietmar Elsler, EU-OSHA project manager, will present the recent findings of the project “The value of OSH estimating the costs of occupational accidents and diseases”.
