Youth empowerment against Big Tobacco is a strategy for healthier workplaces

How best to protect young people from tobacco industry manipulation is the call for action of this year’s World No Tobacco Day, 31 May, celebrated as part of the European Week Against Cancer.

Equipping youth with knowledge about the devastating impact of tobacco on their health is also an important step towards a robust culture of a smoke-free working environment. As every year, EU-OSHA joins the no-tobacco global campaign initiated by the World Health Organisation to raise awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco use at the workplace.
