World Mental Health Day - Safe and healthy workplaces to protect workers’ wellbeing
Each 10 October marks World Mental Health Day. Under this year’s theme Mental Health for All. Greater Investment – Greater Access, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, the aim is to raise awareness of mental health issues worldwide and of the need for greater investment particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic and thereafter.
Coronavirus has changed the world of work, and with psychosocial risks and work-related stress among the most challenging issues in occupational safety and health, the pandemic has caused a significant impact on the health of individuals, organisations and national economies.
Overcoming this challenge will only be possible if we work together in promoting good mental health across EU workplaces, not only to help protect employees’ mental (and physical) health and wellbeing, but also to make good business sense.
