Let’s celebrate Europe Day on 9th May
Europe Day held on 9 May every year marks the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration and the historical start of what is now the European Union. This day also celebrates peace and unity in Europe.
With a focus on the European Year for Cultural Heritage, this year the EU institutions open their doors to the public and EU offices in Europe and all over the world organise a variety of visits, debates, concerts and other events to raise awareness about the EU.
EU-OSHA’s mission within the EU is working to make European workplaces safer, healthier and more productive. To mark Europe Day this year at the local level, EU-OSHA organises a train journey through the streets of Bilbao, to raise awareness on occupational safety and health and distribute information about Europe and the Healthy Workplaces Manage Dangerous Substances campaign in collaboration with local organisations.
