On the EU’s 60th Anniversary let’s celebrate our shared commitment for safer and healthier workplaces in Europe
On 25th March 2017, we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the signature of the Treaty of Rome, one of the most remarkable moments in the history of European Union. EU leaders gather in Rome to mark the Anniversary and support the reflection on the future of the European Union.
The Treaties that established the European Economic Community and the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) also paved the way for a global approach to occupational safety and health. Since then, harmonising and improving working conditions with governments and social partners working together has been a key part of the European project. EU-OSHA, since its foundation in 1994, has been committed to promoting safer, healthier and more sustainable workplaces.
