EU-OSHA celebrates the richness of multilingualism on the European Day of Languages

Europe’s rich linguistic diversity represents a key element in the cultural heritage of the continent that must be preserved and enhanced. Consequently, every 26 September we celebrate the European Day of Languages.

Multilingualism is a cornerstone of EU-OSHA’s work to make European workplaces safer, healthier and more productive. It significantly contributes to achieve greater intercultural knowledge sharing and to spread messages more effectively.

We recently launched EU-OSHA Glossaries, lists of terms related to occupational safety and health (OSH) classified by domain or area of knowledge.

Another multilingual project is also under way and will be available soon: EU-OSHA Thesaurus is a terminology list of OSH words including synonyms, antonyms and definitions.
