Description

This guideline was developed to help small and medium-sized companies in the vehicle repair industry to prevent skin exposure to dangerous substances. The skin protection check helps companies to assess the possible hazards and risks when working with hazardous substances and to establish the necessary skin protection measures. A traffic light system shows the type of protective measures that are required: green for minimum protection measures, yellow for additional protection measures and red for an urgent need for protection measures.

Small and medium-sized enterprises in the vehicle repair industry are in need of both information and support to be able to carry out appropriate risk assessments. To give practical support to the motor vehicle industry, various actions were developed in the project 'ArbeitsschutzPartnerschaft Hamburg'. These actions are aimed at practitioners who want to comply with their company's operational obligations without having a thorough knowledge of laws and regulations.
