Description

This guidance document deals with the opening of containers. About one in five imported containers emits harmful concentrations of hazardous substances. This guidance document aims to protect employees from exposure to hazardous substances when opening containers.
The Institute for Occupational Health and Safety of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) has developed practical guidance to improve the safety and health of employees in the workplace and to meet legal requirements.
