IE - Chemical safety resource for primary school children launched

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has launched the ‘Under the Sink’ chemical safety resource for primary schools to raise awareness of the dangers of household chemicals among younger children.

‘Under the Sink’ is a short on-line presentation designed to use it on the whiteboard of the classrooms - first and second class. It comes with a set of teacher guidelines and activities and can also be used for other classes as an awareness-raising tool.

Education is key to foster a safety and health culture, which will heighten awareness and keep young people safe and healthy at home, school, community and workplace.
