Alert and sentinel systems: SUVA, Switzerland

Part of a series of five in-depth studies of Alert and Sentinel approaches for detecting, monitoring and preventing new work-related diseases (WRDs), this article focuses on the SUVA system in Switzerland.

As a compensation-based system with an ‘open list’ approach, it also allows the reporting of work-related diseases outside the prescribed list of occupational diseases.
