New Finnish OiRA-tool for bus and coach companies
A new, free and easy-to-use OiRA risk assessment tool for bus and coach companies has been published to support their work for better safety and health at work.
The road transport sector has been a pioneer in the implementation of the OiRA Risk Assessment Tool in Finland. OiRA was first published in Finnish for the road freight transport and heavy good vehicles.
Now the passenger road traffic has its own version. An email address and an internet connection are sufficient investments for the company to start to improve its safety culture.
The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health created the tool for bus and coach companies together with social partners: The Finnish Bus and Coach Association, Employers' Federation of Road Transport, Transport Workers’ Union AKT and The Centre for Occupational Safety.
