Popis

The guidance describes how to control occupational exposure to manufactured nanomaterials, including carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and other high aspect ratio nanomaterials (HARNs), in the workplace. It has been prepared in response to emerging evidence about the toxicity of these materials. The general control principles described in the guidance can be applied to all nanomaterials used in the workplace. This guidance does not deal with incidental release of nanomaterials, such as those from diesel exhaust and welding fumes etc.
