This model Code of Practice has been developed to provide practical guidance for persons conducting a business or undertaking on how to manage risks associated with asbestos and asbestos-containing materials  (ACM) at the workplace and thereby minimise the incidence of asbestos-related diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestosis and lung cancer. The guidance explains the legal requirements and practical steps for risk assessment and risk management.
