Description
The publication provides an overview about possible occupational hazards in car repair shops, including hazardous chemicals, and required safety measures for protection. The operations of car repair workers cause expose to several hazardous substances, such as greases, coatings and and organic solvents.
The brochure was produced under the European Campaign Risk Assessment on the Use of Hazardous Substances, launched in 2010 by the CARIT - Committee of Senior Officials of the European Union Labor Inspectorate and coordinated in Portugal by the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) under the motto "Hazardous Substances: Be aware, assess and protect".
