Guidelines on the prevention of toxic exposures: education and public awareness activities

The guidelines, among other things, define prevention and summarise the active and passive strategies that can be used to promote chemical safety, for example emergency communication about chemical risks to communities; product labelling; regulation of chemicals by legislation, registration, licensing, standards and notification systems; and engineering controls to prevent exposure in the workplace.
