These guidelines are intended for emergency medical specialists managing casualties in chemical accidents. For each of the 24 chemicals described in separate chapter, instructions for general safety and personal protection measures of medical personnel at accident site and hospital settings are included. This is the first guideline in Croatian language that addresses management of accidents involving industrial chemicals that has clear instructions for protection and decontamination procedures aimed at emergency medical staff.
