This factsheet provides information on emerging chemical risks from experts from 21 countries. The following substances are covered briefly: nanoparticles, diesel exhaust, synthetic mineral fibres, allergenic and sensitising agents (isocyanates), carcinogens, mutagens, reprotoxic agents and sector-specific chemicals (construction and waste management). In addition, mixes of dangerous substances, combinations of chemicals and psychosocial risks are covered, in relation to, for example, the often poor management of chemical risks in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
