Description

The factsheet gives an overview of particular risks for young farmworkers, including from chemical exposure, and provides a checklist with some easy prevention measures.
Further common farm hazards include dangerous machinery (especially tractors), working at heights, and the risk of suffocation in grain bins and silos. Exposure to cold, wet or noisy conditions, physically demanding jobs and working with animals can also cause problems. But there are things that can be done to effectively manage these hazards and risks.
