A manual produced by the Greek Federation Workers in Chemical Industry with the contribution of the Labour Institute of the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE). This manual makes an inventory of chemical substances that exist either as raw materials, intermediate products or final products in enterprises where the Federation is represented. It identifies the risks that the use of these substances can pose, the prevention measures, information about the toxicity and environmental effects, guidance about the storage, distribution, handling, disposal, ignition and fire fighting of these materials. Finally, it presents a significant part of legislation related to the health and safety protection of workers against the exposure to dangerous substances.
