This informative document was published as “Code of Practice” from the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance. The indoor air quality in buildings is a substantial factor which should be taken into consideration during the risk assessment for the health and safety at work. This assessment will determine which measures the employer must take in order to ensure the employees’ health and safety. This informative leaflet refers to the health problems, the possible causes of the problems that arise from the indoor air quality, the agents of indoor air and their sources, the evaluation and control of air pollutants, the specifications of building ventilation systems, the other agents related to the indoor air quality and finally to the threshold limit values.
