Description

The website provides information about exposure to asbestos in construction. It provides general information about legal requirements when working with asbestos, including on the Register of licencees to remove asbestos. In Finland, asbestos was used in building materials between 1922 and 1992. The use of asbestos was particularly abundant between 1963 and 1979. Asbestos was used in construction, including in pipe insulations, spraying, levelling, mortar, paints, adhesives, building boards, air ducts, plastic mats, sealing tiles, tiles, vinyl tiles, fireproofing, doors (especially fire doors), flooring, and roofing and facade materials.
