Description

This guidance document explains how to apply for a process involving asbestos to be a low-exposure working procedure. It provides details on what information must be provided in the application, in particular regarding measurements at the construction site, and how it is evaluated in order for a process to be approved for being of low (asbestos) exposure. In these working procedures, less stringent prevention measures may be applied.

Low-exposure working procedures when working with asbestos during demolition, renovation and maintenance work have been evaluated and approved by the working group ASI Works based on representative results. The use of tested (standardised) low-exposure procedures ensures that workers' exposure is below 15,000 F/m3 and that the working environment (indoor area) is not contaminated. Approved procedures are published in the form of a working instruction.
