Safe maintenance campaign video
Jukka Takala, Director of EU-OSHA explains why the topic of safe maintenance for our new Campaign has been chosen. Without proper and planned maintenance things can go dramatically wrong in the workplace. It is estimated that 10-15% of fatal accidents at work and 15 – 20% of all accidents are related to maintenance.
Something has to be done about this and our Campaign will therefore focus on raising the awareness of the risks associated with maintenance activities, promoting good practice in maintenance activities and supporting EU and Member State policies, activities and initiatives in this area.
