What is the Spanish Network of Health and Safety at Work?
What is it the Spanish Network of Health and Safety at Work?The Spanish Network (Red Española de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo - RedSST) is a network of Spanish providers of information who use Internet as a tool of dissemination. The information is structured and organized in the same way that the rest of the European National Networks coordinated by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. Who does administer it?The Instituto Nacional de Seguridad e Higiene en el Trabajo INSHT (National Institute of Safety and Hygiene at Work) in the frame of their functions guarantees the coordination and transmission of the information about Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work to all the interested ones. The Prevention of Risks at Work Act (Available in English) provides that it acts as Centre of National Reference (Focal Point) to facilitate the information to national scale, as well as in connection with the Institutions of the European Union and, in particular, regarding the European Agency and its Network. The INSHT acts as administrator of the National Network of Health and Safety at Work, in their double slope, as National Reference;on the matter and as Focal Point of the European Agency. Which is their composition?In their first phase, the Network was constituted it, mainly by members of the parts and institutions represented in the National Commission of Health and Safety at Work, being enlarged in its second phase to entities present in Internet wich have something to contribute related with the subject.
