Issue 2002 - Developing a risk prevention culture in Europe
The EU’s strategy paper, Adapting to change in work and society: a new Community strategy on health and safety at work 2002–06, is one of the most important initiatives in European safety and health over the last decade. It provides a framework for a modern OSH policy that is designed to integrate risk prevention into all facets of our working lives and policy thinking. OSH will be ‘mainstreamed’ into how we think, work and even how our children are educated. It will be a true, ‘cradle to grave’ approach, spanning all sectors and EU countries.
