Main theme
The main theme of the conference is "On the road to vision zero?" Related to this topic, the main focus will be on the prevention of accidents at work, and especially on the understanding and prevention of occupational accidents; however, major accidents resulting in loss of lives and health in industry and transportation are also within the scope of the conference.
In relation to the main theme, we especially want to encourage abstracts in the following areas of safety:
- Globalisation: impact on accident risks
- Political, regulatory and institutional approaches to accident control and prevention
- Human and organisational aspects of accident prevention
- Risk assessment and monitoring
- Case studies and comparative studies of occupational accident risk management in different industrial domains
- Historical and futurological reflections on accident risk scenarios and practices
Programme
The main conference programme will start in the afternoon of Tuesday 7 September 2010 and finish at lunchtime on Friday 10 September 2010. The programme will consist of key note speakers and oral presentations, poster presentations or round table discussions of reviewed abstracts.
