- Quality of Work: A future community strategy for safety and health at work (EU)
The objective of this seminar, jointly organised by the European Agency, the Swedish Presidency and the European Commission was to support the process of development of the new Community Strategy on Safety and Health as announced in the EU Social Policy Agenda, especially to identify the key challenges for the new strategy and the priorities and type of action that could be taken to reach the common goal - safe, healthy and productive jobs.
- Quality of work: New Approaches and Strategies in Occupational Safety and Health (EU)
Summary of workshops organised in Düsseldorf (15 May 2001) and Bilbao (29-30 May 2001) by The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. The objective of these workshops was to update an earlier Agency report on Priorities and Strategies in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the Member States of the European Union (1997). The workshops also aimed to provide decision-makers from the Member States, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Social and Economic Committee and national and European Social Partners with information about the newest developments and options in strategic OSH policy.Other EU activities and documentation relevant to safety and health strategy
Other EU activities of the Commission and other institutions have a relevance to the development of the future safety and health strategy. We have included here some of the activities which have a link to safety and health and which will be developed over the coming months in parallel to the safety and health strategy.
- Commission proposes EU strategy for long-term investment in high-quality jobs and living standards (EU)
The Commission has adopted a plan aiming to raise the quality of EU jobs and living standards. The new strategy aims to benchmark governments, social partners and NGOs on the basis of 'quality indicators' for individual jobs, labour markets and social policies.
