XLth Annual Conference of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists Ergonomics – Think it. Live it.
CALL FOR PAPERS
We are pleased to announce the 40th annual conference of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE).
Through the theme “Ergonomics ‐ Think it. Live it.”, the conference will explore the various means, techniques and approaches organizations can apply to create safer and more efficient workplaces.
Interventions by ergonomists and scientific research carried out in the workplace with engineers, managers, health specialists and others involved in the organization of work, will be highlighted. The contribution ergonomics has made to work analysis and the resulting improvements will also be discussed.
This conference will provide an excellent opportunity to examine how physical, cognitive, behavioural and organizational sciences have taken humans into consideration in the quest to design healthy work environments.
Internationally renowned speakers will address a number of important topics. Practicing ergonomists, researchers and students will present their most recent work in regular sessions or conference streams and panel discussions. Several pre-conference workshops will also offer different levels of professional training.
You are invited to make contributions to the conference: (end March 1, 2009) ‐ oral and poster presentations in French or English ‐ case studies: problems and solutions from practice ‐ conference symposia ‐ panel discussions ‐ training workshops in French or English
ACE student members are strongly encouraged to attend the conference and participate in the Student Paper Awards for best paper. This year, we are planning to publish the papers of all the students taking part in the conference in a special booklet to acknowledge the students’ hard work.
We look forward to seeing you in Québec City!
