ETUC Congress
The ETUC Congress is convened every four years and is the organisation’s supreme authority. It determines the confederation’s general policy. The Congress is composed of delegates from the ETUC affiliated organisations. The entire European trade union movement comes together for this event. At this year’s Congress, the ETUC will go on the offensive for a more social Europe, more solidarity and more sustainable development, the prerequisites for strengthening the European Social Model. In addition to the main European trade union leaders, numerous distinguished personalities will be present, including José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, President of the Spanish government; Franz Müntefering, Germany’s Deputy Chancellor; and leaders of the European institutions.
