Work-related psychosocial stress in Belgium
Information sessions on the new Belgian legislation in the field of Work-related psychosocial stress
After the assessment of the law of June, 11th 2002 and the royal decree of July, 11th 2002 on the protection against violence, mobbing and sexual harassment at work, a new Belgian legislation was adopted in 2007. Concerning these adaptations of regulation the General Directorate Humanisation of Labour of the FPS Employment, Labour and Social Consultation will be organising an information session on behalf of a large audience of prevention counsellors, (sexual) harassment officers, lawyers, personnel managers, trade union representatives, etc.
The information session will be held in French on October 15th and in Dutch on November 6 th 2007 in Brussels (Belgium).
The new regulation stipulates that violence, mobbing and sexual harassment at work are fully part of work related psychosocial stress and that the employers will have to integrate their measures for combating abusive behaviour in a global prevention policy in the field of psychosocial stress. At that same occasion the procedures applicable in cases of abusive behaviour will be elucidated.
