Working in Developing Countries
Health, Safety and Security: Working in Developing Countries
European companies are running projects across the globe. These global companies are committed to the health and safety of their employees and all those affected by their projects. The zero-accident aspiration has been very effective, particularly in the Developed world. However, in Developing countries, the challenges can be more acute and managers can find themselves faced with situations that they had not envisaged. Global projects often require levels of health and safety not usually found in these countries and a different approach to the management of health and safety is required. Also, issues affecting projects in Developing countries are starting to appear elsewhere, particularly with the increasing phenomenon of a migrant workforce.
This Master Class is addressed to:
-
People involved with the management of construction projects outside the European Union
-
People involved with projects with a migrant workforce
-
People wishing to improve the health and safety of their projects
