5th EU/USA Conference on Health and Safety and Work
By invitation only. Following the last conference in Orlando (2005), the United States of America and the European Union decided to organise another meeting in the autumn of 2007, during the Portuguese Presidency. The conference, which takes place within the framework of the Transatlantic Agenda, aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in an issue of maximum importance for the functioning and standards of labour markets. The main purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for debating topics of common interest related to health and safety at work, that should be developed in order to bring increasing quality and efficiency to labour markets and increasing competitiveness to our economies.
