Musculoskeletal disorders are the most common work-related health problem in Europe, affecting millions of workers. For them, it is important to stay active and return to ordinary activities as early as possible. Therefore, the Agency has released the ‘Back to Work’ report and is organising the ‘Lighten the load’ campaign which culminates in the European Week from 22 – 26 October 2007, with a range of activities and events across Europe.

"11 million workers in the construction industry count on real improvements to working conditions to save their health. For 70% of them MSDs is the main problem. It is preventing them earning a living, and it also affects them when they are getting older. So the EFBWW goes for clear rules and standards, and their proper implementation. Let us go on the offensive for better, lighter work."
