Napo

Napo is an original idea in response to the need for high quality information products to break down national boundaries and address the diverse cultures, languages and practical needs of people at work. The role of Napo and his friends is to provide an appetiser to OSH through their engaging characters, amusing story lines, humour and light-hearted approach. “Safety with a smile” is Napo’s contribution to safer, healthier and better workplaces.

Napo's new film about MSDs looks at 'managing the load', not only the load being carried but all the 'strains' put on the body by material being moved, the environmental factors, hazards in the workplace, and the pace at which the task is being carried out.

"The ILO is delighted with your initiative to launch this campaign on musculoskeletal disorders. This is indeed one of the growing problems in our modern society, still underestimated or ignored in many cases. I am sure that this will be another area of work where the ILO and the Bilbao Agency will continue to work in synergy and in a complementary manner, tackling the European and global dimensions of the problem on the basis of the same values and objectives."
