European ‘Lighten the Load’ Summit
The Closing event of the European campaign on musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) took place on 26th February 2008 at the Euskalduna Centre, Bilbao.
The conference was attended by over 600 participants - occupational health and safety professionals and all those interested in and concerned by work-related MSDs. Apart from the main outcomes of the campaign on MSDs, the activities that were organised throughout 2007 were also presented.
At this occasion, 9 Good Practice Award winners from six EU countries were also honoured. The awards recognise outstanding and innovative contributions to preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders.
EU-OSHA also presented its latest publication ‘Work-related MSDs: Prevention Report’ which sets out the latest scientific evidence on the issue.
The morning workshops provide an opportunity for discussion and exchange of information and experiences. The results of these discussions will be used as an input into the afternoon session.
