As slips and trips were a particular problem, the store branch of the trade union used a slips and trips ‘risk-mapping’ activity to find out more. During the Week they asked staff to indicate on a map of the store where they had slipped or tripped. From the map they were able to see where slips and trips occurred most frequently, and talked to staff about the findings and what improvements could be made.
