The Agency prepares, collects, analyses and disseminates information on occupational safety and health (OSH) issues with the aim of improving OSH in workplaces across the EU.

Please note that the Agency:

• cannot give personal advice to individuals about their health and safety situation, or deal with their specific complaints about working conditions;
• cannot provide specific information relating to an individual Member State, such as legislation, standards or statistics;
• cannot look for specific information on request, due to limited resources. We have no information or publications beyond what you can find on our network of sites;
• cannot give an opinion on, or help with the marketing of, commercial goods or services;
• does not provide or certify training courses on occupational safety and health;
• is not responsible for developing EU legislation.

If the Agency's scope of work does not include your question, you may find an answer from one of the following organisations or websites:

• For questions related to a specific Member State: check the website of the relevant Focal Point.
• Information on legislation: visit the Commission's Eur-Lex website, which provides free access to legislation (including treaties, case-law, legislative proposals, etc.) in the 20 EU official languages.
• Information on statistics: first of all, visit our pages on statistics at European level. The homepage of each Member State also has a section dedicated to statistics. The European Commission has its own statistical information service, Eurostat: you can find relevant statistics under its “Population and social conditions” section, subsection “Health (Public health/ Health and safety at work).
• For information on technical standards and certification: CEN
• For more information on working conditions: the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions
• Public health issues at EU level: DG for Public Health and Consumer Protection
